Bitcoin mining is analogous to the mining of gold, but its digital form. The process involves specialized computers solving algorithmic equations or hash functions. These problems help miners to confirm blocks of transactions held within the network. Bitcoin mining provides a reward for miners by paying out in Bitcoin in turn the miners confirm transactions on the blockchain. Miners introduce new Bitcoin into the network and also secure the system with transaction confirmation.

BTC stolen form Blockchain.info wallet without 2FA validation.
I went into my wallet and realized it was empty. I saw that the exactly amount had been transferred approximately 2 hours after I purchased it. I accessed the Security Center and noticed that my email address for verification has been changed and the 2FA has been disabled. I have not received a message from BLOCKCHAIN about any access or attempted email changes. How can any changes have been made without any type of verification or validation/authorization? I strongly believe in security breach of the Blockchain.info platform. I request verification of what happened and the immediate refund of my bitcoin balance. Bitcoin stolen from Blockchain.info wallet even with 2FA activated
The account 18xaP8AmpRDAUiqiXsELtKQFzicC78BnYh was stolen at 2017-11-11 22:41:12 from a blockchain.info wallet. The 2FA was activated and no seed stored on any pc. Also not backup. The 2FA was with google authenticator on a smartphone. The bitcoin is being splitted on two accounts: 13wahvu3FP8LK8P51UmEkhBUhyC7mzkrn3 and 1KDFTGoWXceeZxqUk5wHjnViPEkCdJeU1V. If you check the movements of these wallets you can see they are doing the same to many accounts. The blockchain support answered with a copy/paste generic email, but not more help. The police is already informed and let us see if they can do something...this is frustrating. How can this happen?
A follow up to Jaxx bitcoin wallet glitch costing me 260 dollars: I had the fees set to medium and the confirmation page didn’t show anything unusual. After confirming the transfer something glitched and I was charged almost everything in fees. Blockchain info provided in link.
asking for help from the guy who gave 9 BTC back to u/fitwear after his bitcoin disappeared from his wallet 4 seconds after his transfer, I was hacked on the same day and posted the same day, maybe I could recover my coin aswell? (blockchain.info)
I made a post 16 days ago about how my wallet on blockchain.info was hacked. I had 0.27 BTC stored on my wallet at the time and at 3am in the middle of the night someone transferred the entirety of it into another wallet. I had maximum security settings, 2FA, secondary password in order to send funds, when I created my account I wrote down my seed and never showed a single person. There is a chance my computer had malware but the strange thing is that I never got any sms confirmation or email confirmation saying funds were sent from my wallet. I had changed the settings to notify me of any account activity, including logging in. There was no notifications on any device or email. This leads me to believe that either my computer had malware that allowed someone to see my seed being generated, or it was a breach within blockchain.info I saw this post "Evidence some bitcoin address generation code is using discoverable private keys" and read the comments section. I saw that someone was able to discover some kind of coding errors in blockchain and somehow was able to get back u/fitwear's 9 BTC, I read the post about how it was done but it is really confusing and difficult for me to understand. I would like to get in contact with the person who helped u/fitwear in the hopes he may be able to help me recover my lost BTC as well. If you don't believe me you can look at my history and you will find my post from 16 days ago, and also a small interaction between me and u/fitwear. any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks.
While Blockchain.info is down, what about testing GreenAddress.it Bitcoin wallet? They use P2SH and never store your private keys, not even encrypted. And if GreenAddress.it goes down you can use nLockTime transactions to redeem your Bitcoin without their intervention.
Bitcoin stolen / phished from blockchain.info wallet (???)
I just withdrew my BTC balance from poloniex to the bitcoin.info wallet, and left the computer for like 15 minutes while it was confirming. So after 15 minutes I check my blockchain.info wallet, and see that my bitcoins have been received, and then sent to another address within 10 minutes! So I check the url that I'm on, and see that I'm on http://bockcheian.info/wallet/#/home . What the f*ck?! This isn't the first time that I use a blockchain.info wallet, and I sure as hell did not leave the official environment! So from start to finish, these were my actions:
Go to blockchain.info, create new wallet.
Click on confirmation link in the email
Keep the wallet open in a tab
After a while, re-open the tab, see that I'm automatically logged off
Log in again, message pops up, displaying that I need to check my email
Check my email, see that it asks me to confirm the login attempt. See that the login attempt is made from a Mac, using chrome (everything same as me), click on the confirm button without looking up the IP address, since the browser and operating system match mine, and I tried logging in 30 seconds ago. (I now see that the IP address links to Sao Paulo in Brazil, while I am in Russia)
The confirmation button in the email still linked to the official blockchain.info domain, so I must have still been on blockchain.info after confirming the login attempt.
Copy blockchain.info wallet address, and transfer funds from poloniex.
It goes without saying that I'm devastated that weeks of daytrading, stress, and interrupted sleep have been for nothing. Nevertheless I do not understand 2 things: First of all, the login confirmation email stated that there has been a login attempt from the IP address that now has appeared to be from brazil, so this means that this person has somehow already accessed my account, with the correct information (wallet ID and my password). It should be noted that this password is unique, and I have not used it at a different site, ever. How could this person have accessed my account with the correct information, minutes after I created it? Second of all, how did I end up on f*cking bockcheian.info? I have never logged in anywhere else, except for the legit blockchain site. I can't seem to make any sense out of it, if anyone could offer some insight, would be much appreciated. Edit: Also now when I am on bockcheian.info, my chrome prevents me from seeing the page, displaying a warning that this site is used for phishing. If only I would have gotten this warning an hour ago.
Blockchain.info celebrates 500,000 wallets with free bitcoins!
Blockchain.info is about to reach 500,000 total wallets created, and we are extremely grateful to the bitcoin community for it's continual support over the years. We would like to celebrate this important milestone by giving away 10 bitcoins to the lucky user who creates wallet 500K. The tricky part is we may never know who this person is because Blockchain.info is designed with everyone's anonymity in mind. We'll only be able to get in contact with a wallet owner that verifies their email address, and they will still need to voluntarily provide us with their public wallet address. If that's not wallet 500k, then we'll go down the line until we find a winner we can contact. It's our mission to continue to build the most secure and private bitcoin wallet available, and our focus remains on giving users the best experience possible. From our team around the world, thank you from the bottom of our bitcoin hearts. Good luck! Thank you so much! The funny thing is, I had no idea you were running a contest! I used to dabble in Bitcoins a couple of years ago (bought 5 BTC back when they were like £5 each, gutted that I sold them for £6 a few months later once I found out they were £140 each now!), and thought I'd get back into using them, so I signed up for a Blockchain account because it seemed like the most reliable online wallet provider. Looks like I got back into Bitcoin at just the right time! Once again, thank you so much for the coins, this is amazing! All the best,
